my story
- Prior to my transition into educational leadership and coaching in 2007, I spent 18 years as a middle school teacher, curriculum developer, peer coach and new-teacher mentor. My school-based leadership focused on developing new, innovative programs including project-based learning, STEAM, blended and online learning at all grade levels - long before these methodologies were en vogue.
- I am deeply committed to serving each individual administrative and educational leader - and by extension each teacher and student - impacted by the coaching process. I believe that, with a commitment to a growth mindset, every person is capable of achieving their absolute best. It is this philosophy that has helped me to build student- and teacher-teams who are strong, confident problem-solvers and innovative collaborators.
- I lead a variety of professional training series, including, but not limited to:
- Understanding Kindergarten Readiness (for Parents and Preschool Teachers)
- Using Writer’s Workshop Across the Curriculum
- Teaching with Literature Circles
- Creating Collaborative Communities
- Engaging in Reflective Processes
- Teaching in the Digital Age
